Stefanie is the founder and owner of Lighthouse Speech Therapy, PLLC. Born in the Roscoe/Rockton area, she is dedicated to providing speech and language services to the community she calls home. After studying Communication Sciences and Disorders at Augustana College, she completed her Masters degree at Eastern Illinois University. Upon graduation, Stefanie and her husband moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she worked in the public school system and earned her English as a Second Language Endorsement. She has specific interest in the areas of Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Speech Sound Disorders, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and Early Language Development. She has extensive experience in the educational system, and is passionate about helping children reach their early communication goals. Alicia has been a speech and language pathologist for 11 ½ years. She lives in Rockton with her husband and 3 children, who are 6, 4, and 2. She also has 2 cats, 4 rabbits, and a water turtle . Born in Southern Illinois, she acquired her bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and master’s degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She has extensive knowledge working in the education system. Alicia began her career at Ball Chatham School District near Springfield, IL and moved north after meeting her husband. She has worked for 9 ½ years in the area, previously working for Kinnikinnick School District for 8 of those years and now working for Rockford Public School District. She has extensive work experience in augmentative and alternative communication, language disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, as well as experience working in autism and other self-contained therapy programs. Alicia loves to grow as a speech and language pathologist and has worked with individuals pre-k through high school as well as early intervention.
